There are many digital photography tutorials online that you choose from.  It all depends on your own skill sets.  If you are looking to purchase your first camera there are tutorials available to show you how to make the right decisions.  Some Digital Photography tutorials can be as advanced enough for a 20 year + veteran photographers to learn from.  I’ve listed a few generic lessons below:

1.Why take one shot when you can take 3, 4 or even 5 shots? – The great thing I love about digital cameras is the ability to take as many shots as you require and it doesn’t cost you a penny.  This really does add to the fun factor and because you can instantly see the outcome of your picture taking you can  easily get feedback and know what you need to do to improve your next shot.

2. Don’t utilize auto-white balance – Light is an extremely important element in taking a good photo;therefore you should not put white balance on automatic as this can transform all your pictures with dull light, leaving them gray and lifeless.  You should, however, make the appropriate adjustments to the white light manually as this gives you full control and you should be able to achieve some natural photographs.

3. Get as near to your subject as possible – Wide-angle photos are fantastic in their own field. Here the photographs will do better to represent the subject from as close as possible. A photo, a lot of times, will be appreciated by the ability to capture the subject in larger than life poses.

4. Take care of the light for the shoot – Learn to use the exposure timing to give your photograph the best light imaginable. The majority of digital cameras nowadays have built-in sensors.  Still, applying this properly is something that needs to be taught as it requires a lot of explanation endorsed by continual exercise.

5. Try out various things with the different camera angles – Don’t you find it gets a bit boring having to take pictures from straight ahead all the time? You can learn how to take good photos by not conforming to conventional photography techniques all the time.  There are times when it is recommended to  occasionally angle the camera in a way that adds a bit of a pizzaz to the photo.
